SASSA has extended the appeal cutoff date to 31st May 2021.
Although the SRD R350 Grant has come to an end officially after it been extended twice.
In a statement released by the agency officially announcing the end of the grant payment, SASSA said although the grant has expired, all those who have been approved long time without pay dates will still be paid as they complete modalities.
Some applicants were declined for various reasons including nsfas registered, not in sars base, uif registered, name mismatch, alternative source of income among others.
In case you were declined for any of the above mentioned reasons, you have the option to appeal their decision with evidence or official report.
Prior to the last extension from February to April 2021, the Cut-off date for the appeal has passed but after the extension, the appeal was further extended for reconsideration.
Those who wish to appeal can do so using the official website of of the SRD grant https://srd.sassa.gov.za and apply for reconsideration stating the reasons beyond beyond reasonable doubts why their appeal application have to be considered.
SASSA will then review the appeal applications and if it merits for reconsideration it will be approved and payment made after pay date is set.
They have however, cautioned the applicant not to submit multiple appeals as only one will be considered.
