All Applicants Must Have Bank Accounts – SASSA

SASSA has announced that all those who have been receiving their SRD grant of R350 payments from the Post Office should make they have bank account.

They made this known in a media statement released on 12th of February 2021 just a day after the president announced a further three month extension of the SRD grant.

The SRD grant was introduced in May 2020 to help unemployed people to cope with the daunting effects of the global pandemic on the economy.

It saw initial extension from November to January 2021 and because of the second wave of the virus leading to some partial lockdown, the president during his State of the Nation Address February 2021, has extended the grant for three more months ending in April.
